Originaire de Fleurus près de Charleroi, je suis arrivé à Louvain-la-Neuve en 1997 pour continuer mes études, et j'y habite depuis 1999. J'ai étudié la Physique puis l'informatique à l'UCL. Je travaille aujourd'hui comme informaticien à l'UCL et je participe au développement de la plateforme  libre de eLearning Claroline.

Democracy must be inclusive not exclusive ! Votes create losers and eagerness, either by the dictate of a majority or the veto from a minority. So, for me, voting is not a democratic way of solving things. If we really want to change the world, the first step is to forget about the old ways of making things and try new or alternative ones ! Let's try to work by consensus ! Let's create an organic, decentralized and horizontal structures ! Let's try sociocracy ! Let's take time to do things instead of being in an eternal state of urgency !

Je trouve la politique actuelle en matière de propriété intellectuelle et de brevet, ainsi que les mesures pour lutter contre la contre-façon et le piratage très inquiétante pour le respect des liberté individuelle (en particulier la liberté d'expression) et présage une société de la privatisation dans laquelle ne pourront plus être consommés que les produits des grandes multi-nationales. Le climat sécuritaire menace également fortement la vie privée et, sous prétexte de garantir la sécurité des citoyens, met en place les mécanismes favorisant l'apparition d'une société totalitaire. Tout cela tend à laisser le citoyen sur le côté, réduit a l'état de consommateur. Les prévisions climatiques sont plus qu'alarmantes tandis que les gouvernements semblent ne défendre que leur politique économique. Les lois sont complexes, incompréhensibles pour le commun des mortelles et semblent contradictoires. On ne sait plus trop si nos représentants défendent nos intérêts ou ne sont que des pantins aux mains des puissances économiques qui dirigent la planète.

Je pense qu'il est plus qu'urgent de rendre le pouvoir aux citoyens (démocratie participative voire directe), qu'il faut mettre en place des mécanismes qui garantissent le respect des libertés individuelles face aux multi-nationales, et favoriser une société de la collaboration au lieu d'une société de la concurrence.

Je pense qu'il faut simplifier les lois et revenir à plus de pragmatisme dans les prises de décisions et imposer la transparence des dossiers et des décisions. Dans tout les cas, il faut rechercher un consensus qui conviennent à tous, afin d'éviter une dictature de la majorité.

Who am I ?

Democracy must be inclusive not exclusive ! Votes create losers and eagerness, either by the dictate of a majority or the veto from a minority. So, for me, voting is not a democratic way of solving things. If we really want to change the world, the first step is to forget about the old ways of making things and try new or alternative ones ! Let's try to work by consensus ! Let's create an organic, decentralized and horizontal structures ! Let's try sociocracy !
