Details

In the Piratelab of the 25th of November, we worked on a basic rethinking of the home page of the website, by telling our story. We started to think from "In control of ourselves" to "Did we lose control?" as a slogan. The totally draft result (will be reworked in wp probably) is to be seen in https://piratelab.odoo.com

Discussion about the structure of the story we want to tell.

• Flow 1
  • Part 1 : Question: Did we lose control
  • Part 2 : Consecutive question: Can we still manage ... (9 different points)
  • Part 3 : Currently we delegate most of our decisions. We don't have to do that. We can take control of these issues. But these are ambitious goals.
  • (Part 4: solutions <-- here we got a bit stuck)

• Alternative flow
  • Part 1 : Question: Did we lose control?"
  • Part 2 : Consecutive question: Can we still manage ... (9 different points)
  • Part 3: Transition: from delegating more than it is reasonable to empowerment. - Now a lot of the power is delegated more than is reasonable.
    • Conclusion:We need to shift to more empowerment to be able to take back control.
  • Part 4: Our ideal society described by our values
  • Part 5: Examples of concrete solutions, "bring your own solutions"

JF: try to incorporate 4 values: freedom, cooperation, trust, general interest

We choose the alternative flow as the basis for our work.

We don't plan another specific meeting for this topic, the work will continue online at the moment and we will meet at the Pirate Lab in January
