Integration/Coordination :
- The following newsletter is one of our new initiatives. The main goal is to make everyone aware of what's going on in the party. We've had very little feedback so far, so please consider filling in the <a href="http://pirateparty.be/main-contact-person-crews-squads">form</a> for your crew or squad.
- We have plans for setting up a pirate manual, that will contain lots of information and tips about the party. Help needed! Send an email to coreteam@parley.be
- We work with the backup squad to give help where it's needed, and match resources with needs. If you have a project, idea or want to provide some help, the backup squad is your contact point, just open an issue: http://pirateparty.be/node/1609/issues
International
The European Pirate Party was organising a conference in Warsaw, Poland to discuss the statutes and manifesto of this new party at European level. Belgium sent Koen, Paul and Kash as delegates. A new manifesto has been voted, which will be proposed to ratification at next extraordinary general assembly (EGA) in September. See https://eu.piratenpad.de/warsaw-2013-results. Press
A new press squad has been set up. After being contacted by a radio journalist for an interview about Bradley Manning's conviction, two articles about the topic were written by <a href="http://pirateparty.be/node/1967">Sarah</a> and <a href="http://pirateparty.be/node/1970">Marouan</a>. Marouan's article has been published in La Libre Belgique http://www.lalibre.be/debats/opinions/manning-snowden-swartz-heros-ou-imbeciles-5209ef9035709164e12dad97. Finances and secretary:
We're working on an automatized workflow for new party members: automatic emails and registration in the database. To this end, we're working right now on transferring access of the bank account to the new coreteam. We're also planning to make all spendings of the party publicly available and set up tools for easier project funding (reimbursement forms, crowdsourcing). A new webshop is in the making.
