About the squad

The squad consists of creative people that are able to create an informative and good looking portal that gets people hot for the PirateParty.

All people that are willing to offer their skills in designing ,developing or even analyzing the website, are more than welcome to attend one of the meetings.

History

The people that created the website that is currently on pirateparty.be have abandoned ship, thus leaving it horribly bleeding in its current state.

Rule

All the things we do, every single thought and action should be documented on this page.

This way, all the work done can be continued by the leaving squadmembers' successor without falling for the 'unmaintained'trap that has caused harm to the party in the past.

All code should be properly documented and commented.

Meeting

For now, there is no IRL (in real life) meeting scheduled.

For now, there is no IRC meeting scheduled. But feel free to lurk on #ppbe_web on irc.pirateparty.be

Todo

  • Get access to the webserver
  • Check what has been installed
  • Migrate date
  • Map primair info that we need to display

[need map of basic info]

  • create distributionlist for web
  • point web@pirateparty.be to the distributionlist
  • create short-term and realistic basic "need to have" list.
  • create long-term and dreamy "would be nice to have" list.
  • Discuss on what technology we use. Drupal? There seems to be ruby installed on the webserver, so forkcms is also possible.
  • Sourcecontrol?
  • Define Roles in Squad

Done

  • Mimor mailed ITworkgroup@pirateparty.be on Sun 25 March to get access to the mailserver.

Hoi :)

Ik zou graag toegang krijgen tot de website backend. Evt ook de database :)
Opties:

1. Ik geef je mijn public key en zet je die op de webserver?
2. Je maakt een web@pirateparty.be account en ww aan als admin?
3. Ander voorstel?

Mvg,

Mike
  • web@pirateparty.be is an alias, forwarded to mike.morraye@gmail.com (should be changed)

Notes

There are 3 or 4 languages that need maintainance. -> consistend information needed -> translation flow and people needed
