We welcome 3 new faces

The crew members welcome those three fresh pirates

Alexander ZENON

AZE is one of the founder of http://www.democratie.nu/ a Now is an independent and politically non-aligned citizens' movement that promotes the introduction of the Binding Referendum on People's Initiative" [R1]

AZE is working on an alternative to LiquidFeedback project: http://www.jegouverne.be (FR) or http://www.ikregeer.be (NL). He would like to invest his time as a citizen of Brussels cityand help the Pirate Party during the campaign. ABO and Jonas Degrave have talked with him in order to decide which tool will, the PP Belgium use in the future. Emails have been exchanged using the pp.be.democratie mailing list [R2]

[DECISION] ALL: The forum of AZE exists and can be used until the elections

Merel FABRE

MFA lives in Schaarbeek. He works as secretary/webmaster at VUB [R3]. She is an expert in Drupal. She is willing to setup, host and maintain the Brussels City website. MFA should participate to the elections and be on the Schaerbeek' list. [INFO] She offers to help Brussels City team for the elections.

[INFO]: MBR: Brussels City’ group becomes more and more Dutch speaking and we shouldn’t “grab” the Dutch speaking persons from Schaerbeek. ACA: as discussed, MFA is willing to help our small team while following Schaerbeek' discussions.

Nicolas TSURU

NTS lives in Laken and he is interested in our list (and participation).

Erwin Leyman (not new)

ELE organizes each year a dinner with poor people. This year he will try to get funded by private and/or public administration. In the past, he invested his time and money to organise the event.

Elections participation

how far are we in the signatures?

[DECISION] ALL: we agreed that we won't ask for signature from already elected politicians except if ithere is an absolute necessity

Contact with Brussels council

LCA went to administration but they weren't able to communicate in Flemish.

[DECISION]: LCA and ABO will go together to the Brussels council to get used with administration and ensure that we don't miss read the documentation available on the public website [R5]

[INFO] Crew members should at least send 1 EUR to the party and become an official member [R6]


Paperwork

Elections

TBI will check if anyone can be candidate, independently of the date he became resident of a municipality. He has read that people can't participate to the elections if they were not resident of a municipality before the 15 April 2012. In that case, TBI might not be a candidate. [A019]

[DECISON] LCA will call HNA to know whether he still want to participate to the elections [A020] If he doesn't answer to the requests we will have to decide whether we input him in the candidate' list

[INFO] MBR remembers us that the parity male/female is a MUST. Today we have too many men vs. women. We will have to decide which man will not take part of the elections

  • How many of cards we need per person? we didn't agree yet. we will wait after the availability of the design and the @pirateparty.be addresses


Financing - Bank account

LCA asked us whether we should create a bank account for Brussels City municipality. ABO proposes to do not start this process as we should also start one 'association de fait' or 'Feitelijke vereniging'

LCA: Purpose: to organise in public spaces every afternoon a meeting and have an open discussion.

[DECISION] first Pic-nic debate is organised from 4PM to 6PM on Saturday 18 August
