The party discipline works by denying a revolting representative an electable place on the election list in the next elections. It is even impossible to force a representative to resign his office. The party can, and is allowed, to ask the representative to do so.

Revision as of 12:40, 14 November 2012

"Another topic of discussion was the rules governing the behaviour of elected representatives. It was said that they should sign some contract with the party, ensuring they will vote only according to the choices of the citizens. The legality of this point is not certain. "

On the contrary: The illegality of this proposal is certain. It is against the law to impose any pressure, direct or indirect, on the way a representative has to vote.

The party discipline works by denying a revolting representative an electable place on the election list in the next elections. It is even impossible to force a representative to resign his office. The party can, and is allowed, to ask the representative to do so. --Paul Nollen 09:47, 14 November 2012 (CET)
