The web document are the way the pirates trace thier activities. The wikis are the most common way the achieve this objective. A wiki comparison site could be found at http://www.wikimatrix.org/ .

Notes

For long term administration the wiki should offer easy backup/migration and should be easily hackable. By hackable we mean to be updated by a program. For example creat automatically a page with the active crew.
