The Belgian Pirates invite everyone to join us to listen, think and debate about the economy of the future. Our program: three presentations (EN) followed by roundtable discussions (EN, FR, NL).
P2P Economy (Jean LIEVENS)
Our economical system is based on the false notion of material abundance and immaterial scarcity. We are overburdening the planet. Meanwhile, we are using intellectual right and patents to build artificial walls around knowledge. The P2P foundation propagates the transition to a post-capitalistic system, based on global cooperation and peer production for the common good of humanity.
Degrowth (Bernard LEGROS)
Degrowth is a rejection of the illusion of growth, and a call to repoliticize the public debate colonized by the concept of 'economism'. It is a project advocating the democratically-led shrinking of production and consumption. The aim is to achieve social justice and ecological sustainability.
Basic Income (Sarah VAN LIEFFERINGE)
An Unconditional Basic Income (UBI) is a guaranteed income, given to all citizens in addition to any other income they might receive. The aim is to stimulate equality, freedom, participation and enterpreneurship, while enabling more transparent and less paternalistic welfare systems. The UBI offers a solution for the robotization of the labour market and for the stress people get from being stuck in the ratrace.

Economie P2P (Jean LIEVENS)
Notre système économique est basé sur la notion erronée d'abondance matérielle et de rareté immatérielle. Nous surexploitons la planète et, dans le même temps, nous utilisons la propriété intellectuelle et les brevets pour construire des murs artificiels autour de la connaissance. La fondation P2P propage la transition vers un système post-capitaliste, basé sur la coopération mondiale et la production par les pairs pour le bien commun de l'humanité.
Décroissance (Bernard LEGROS)
La décroissance est le rejet de l'illusion de la croissance, et un appel à repolitiser le débat public colonisé par le concept "d'économisme". Ce projet défend une dimunition de la production et de la consommation par des moyens démocratiques. L'objectif est d'atteindre une justice sociale et une soutenabilité environnementale.
Revenu de Base (Sarah VAN LIEFFERINGE)
Un Revenu de Base Inconditionnel est un revenu garanti, octroyé à tous les citoyens en complément de toute autre source de revenu qu'ils pourraient avoir. Le but est de stimuler l'égalité, la liberté, la participation et l'entrepreunariat, tout créant un système de bien-être plus transparent et moins paternaliste. Le Revenu de Base Inconditionnel offre une réponse à la robotisation du marché du travail et au stress engendré par la spirale infernale du "toujours plus et plus vite".

Anderzijds bouwen we met auteursrechten en patenten artificiële muren rond kennis. De P2P Foundation propageert de transitie naar een post-kapitalistisch systeem, gebaseerd op globale samenwerking en peer productie voor het gezamenlijk welzijn van de mensheid.

Basisinkomen (Sarah VAN LIEFFERINGE)
Het Onvoorwaardelijk Basisinkomen is een gegarandeerd inkomen, dat gegeven wordt aan alle burgers bovenop andere mogelijke inkomens. Het doel is om gelijkwaardigheid, vrijheid, participatie en ondernemerschap te stimuleren, en om terzelfdertijd de welvaartsstaat transparanter en minder betuttelend te maken. Het Onvoorwaardelijk Basisinkomen biedt bovendien een oplossing voor de robotisering van de arbeidsmarkt en voor de stress die de ratrace met zich meebrengt.
