Introduction

Liege's Crew exists since the end of 2010. It was founded by a bunch of Liège onhabitants eager to bring Pirate movement to life in their city. Since then they were joined by other members who share this will.

Members

Mailing-list

To be created. For instance, we use the mailing-list for Wallonia (french speaking) ; you can subscribe at this address http://fr.pirateparty.be/content/listes-de-diffusion-inscription ensuring you choose "Parti Pirate Wallonie" .

Meetings

We organise meetings regularly at Cultural Centre Barricade. Note: Barricade is not at all associated nor linked tothe Pirate Party ; they lend us their meeting-room. Each meeting is announced through multiple channels which among other the website of Pirate Party Belgium, the mailing-list, the facebook page and twitter account.

Language uses : as most of the members are French-speaking we generally use to speak French at these meetings, but there is no restriction for participation.

Pirate Beers

We often organise Pirate Beers in Liege's city centre. It is an opportunity for informal meeting with members and followers. Each Pirate Beer is announced through multiple channels which among other the website of Pirate Party Belgium, the mailing-list, the facebook page and twitter account.

Language uses : As this events are informal, there is no formal use of any language. Most of us can understand/speak different languages (EN/DE/NL/IT/ES).

Current projects

  • "Open City" : a case study of the situation, tools, initiatives and methods aiming at making public data available (Open Data) in collaboration with diverse organisations and field specialists.
